3. How are animals endanger ? Humans destroy precious habitat the natural environment of a living thing when they fill swamps and marshes, dam rivers and cut down trees to build homes, roads and other developments. Oil spills, acid rain and water pollution have been devastating for many species of fish and birds. Many animals are over-hunted because their meat, fur and other parts are very valuable.

4. Mountain Gorilla Few animals have sparked the imagination of man as much as the gorilla, the largest of the living primates. Most gorillas live in inaccessible regions in various dense forests in tropical Africa, and one subspecies, the mountain gorilla was not even known to science until 1902. The world's remaining mountain gorillas live within four national parks, split in two regions that are 45 kilometres (28 miles) apart One population of mountain gorillas inhabits the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. A census in 2006 recorded 302 gorillas here
