Do Now: copy Indian Religions Vocabulary into your notebook Animism – the belief that every living & nonliving thing in nature has a spirit Brahman – the Hindu belief in the one unifying spirit Reincarnation – the rebirth of the soul in a new body which allows for people to continue their journey toward Brahman Karma – all the deeds of a person’s life that affects their existence in the next life Dharma – the moral & religious duties that are expected of an individual Caste System – social groups into which people are born & out of which they cannot move during a lifetime Buddha – the Enlightened One
