2 What did people do in their free time? Hunting: was not only for fun but for food, people also took advantage of this time to show off their clothes, horse and weapons. Hawking: this sport was exclusively for the rich because the poor could not afford the birds they would need to participate. You would train your bird and trade them off, it was like showcasing the birds. They also had backgammon, chess, jousting, soccer, field hockey, skittles and bowling. Though soccer was played much differently from the way its played now. There were no rules, the objective of the game was to get the ball back to your side any way you can. Skittles: invented in 1932, consists of a top that spins through the opening, richotes off walls, and scores points by knocking down 10 pins. But the most popular way people spent their free time was by going to the theater where William Shakespeare's plays were performed.

6 Theater its self nowadays is nothing like its was in the 1500s at all during the 1500s men were only alllowed to act because men were only allowed. Back then women were only supposed to be housewives and have kids and take care of the house. The theater in the 1500s was so much different then it is now because well women were never actually appreciated as they are now because women were basically considered housewives. The theater was put together by man for everyone but most actors were men like Edward Alleyn and many other men.
