3 Introduction - Self Service (Student – Parent) The Self Service portal is a one stop shop for students and parents. All academic details related to the student can be made available here. Students can pay fees online, view fee details, request for hostel/ transport/library services and so on from right here itself. The widgets and the quick links provisioned for the students are replicated on the parent portal and would be available to the parents. So the students and the parents may share different user credentials but have access to same set of widgets and quick links.

4 Self Service (Student – Parent) When the Self Service portal is provisioned for the students and parents, they will receive an email notification regarding the same with user credentials to access the Self Service portal. GD Note: We can show a dummy image of the body of an email with text as below: Hi, We welcome you to the iON Self Service portal. Please find below your user credentials to access the Self Service portal. We hope you will have an enriching experience.

5 Self Service (Student – Parent) Access Self Service View Widgets / Quick Links Raise Request Click on any of the tabs to learn more Students and parents will be separate users in the Self Service portal. They will have the flexibility to view various academic details in the form of widgets and request for services such as letters, hostel, transport and so on in the form of quick links. They can pay fees online by doing a transaction. Library books can also be reserved from here by raising a request.

6 Self Service Login Xyz, has joined Adhyayan University in the MBA batch and has received an email notifying him about the Self Service portal. His father has also received a similar email. Both the email’s have the individual user credentials for Xyz and his father respectively. For demo purpose, we will see how Xyz will access the Self Service portal for the first time. This process will be the same for the parent as well. Let us see how it is done. GD Note: Use an appropriate name instead of Xyz wherever Xyz is mentioned. 7 Self Service Login Access the iON website and login with your user credentials received in the email.

8 Self Service Login The Webtop is displayed. On the Webtop, the Preferences icon is available. Click on it. GD Note: Click here link is to branch into the Webtop section of user creation.

9 Self Service Login The iON Preferences panel is displayed with the My Preferences section open. You can update your details in sections such as Locale Preferences, My Photo and My Profile.

10 Self Service Login In the Change Password section, you can change your password as well as set a Secret Question which can be used in case of a forgot password situation.

11 Self Service Login Click on the W icon also known as the Start Panel which will then display the iON Solutions panel. You can do a right click on the desired solution icon and select the Add to Quick Launcher option to place it in the Quick Launcher panel on top. 3 3 2 2 1 1 GD Note: The circles are the order for highlighting the sections.

12 Self Service Login Click on the Self Service solution icon from the Quick Launcher. Let us now see, how the Self Service portal looks like.

15 View Widgets / Quick Links Access Self Service View Widgets / Quick Links Raise Request Click on the Show me button to view a demonstration. Every solution has a set number widgets and quick links provisioned for users. For example, if Campus Management Solution has 9 widgets and 8 quick links, the users mapped to CMS will be able to access these widgets and quick links only. Users will be able to view the widgets and quick links of those solutions which are mapped to their profile. Users can choose widgets that they would like to club together as a group and create a category for them. Let us see the facilities provisioned for student and parent users.

17 Widgets The image displays a few of the widgets that are visible on the self service portal. The user has the option to choose from a list of widgets. Click on the Add Widgets button.

18 The user can search from the list of widgets that appears in this section. After selecting the widget of your choice, click on the Add button and then click on the Submit To Category button. You can deselect any widget by clicking on the Remove button. A Widget is a place holder for information retrieved from different sources to provide quick updates to the user. It is a dashboard containing transactional data from different iON solutions.

20 A Widget is a place holder for information retrieved from different sources to provide quick updates to the user. It is a dashboard containing transactional data from different iON solutions. Apart from the widgets available from the different iON solutions, there are also social widgets that help to manage different social activities and business activities from the single point. A Quick Link is a quick access feature to a module or sub module of any solution where the user can raise a request for various services such as transport, letters, claims and so on. View Widgets / Quick Links Need to get an update on the social widgets.

21 Xyz, will now access the Self Service portal. He will be able to view the different widgets and quick links provisioned for student users on the this portal. Text 1.The widgets will help Xyz to stay updated on academic events, fee updates, exam schedule and much more. Text 2.The quick links will help Xyz to avail various services provided by the Institute from one common portal such as Hostel, Transport, Library and so on. 30 Raise Request Xyz, wants to apply for a passport and is required to submit a bona fide letter to the authorities along with other documents. He will request for a bona fide letter through the Self Service portal. Let us see how it is done.
