1 CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY ACCET Document 31.ESL Equitable, clearly defined, and consistently administered Cancellations = any situation in which a student never attends class Withdrawal = any situation in which a student attends at least one class, but not the entirety of the enrollment

7 WITHDRAWALS – INITIAL TERM/SESSION Initial term/session of four weeks or less All tuition fees kept by institution Initial term/session of more than four weeks Withdrawal during the first four weeks = first four weeks of tuition kept by institution + housing cost + non-refundable fees 4 weeks’ tuition Initial 12-week session 4 weeks Refund calculated, refund for 8 weeks due

12 PRORATA REFUNDS Must be 100% prorata based on last date of attendance Enrolls for 12 weeks Transfers at 5 weeks Kept by School + housing cost + non-refundable fees 5/12 tuition costs

13 DISCOUNTS If student has fulfilled terms of discount, discount must be used in calculating refund E.g., discounts for students from Brazil in February If student has not fulfilled terms of discount, non-discounted rate may be used E.g., discount for enrolling for 24 weeks Must be disclosed to students in refund policy
