Important Dates *write these dates down under your name Math signing – Monday, February 1 st Remaining subjects – Tuesday, February 2 nd Ballots due to English teacher – Wednesday, February 3 rd

12 th - Recommendations/Signatures Some classes have a blank space for teacher signatures. You must maintain a C or better to be recommended. D/F grades = repeat the course and you can’t move on (math or foreign languages)

12 - Electives and Alternates Electives – Mark ballot with an E Alternates – pick 3 and mark A1, A2, A3 and must be different from the ones you wrote in the elective box on the front of the ballot.

Pre-AP and AP classes Must get a recommendation and signature. There may be summer assignments. See the Beyer website for information. – https://beyer.monet.k12.ca.us

PA/VPA/CTE PA – classes that count toward the practical art requirement. (need 1 semester) VPA – classes that count toward the visual/performing art requirement. (need 1 year OR CTE OR foreign language) CTE – classes that count toward the career technical education (need 1 year OR VPA OR foreign language)

ROP and WEE *Juniors and Seniors Only ROP – regional occupational program. 2 hours offered on and off site. Meets PA and CTE requirements toward graduation. – Good attendance is crucial – For cosmetology, you must apply first, take a test before accepted. Choose electives and we can change it if you are accepted. WEE – Work Experience – Must be on track and have a 2.0

UC/CSU requirements Bolded classes meet the A-G requirement. You must earn a C or better both semesters for it to count toward the requirement.

Schedule Changes All classes are year-long, no mid-year schedule changes!

Credits Credits – you earn 5 per semester per class PE is quarterly with 2.5 each quarter and 5 each semester Playing a sport = 2.5 credits per sport NOT per quarter D or higher = 5 credits F = 0 credits, and if it’s a required class you must make it up

Target Mid-Year Credits 9 th grade = 25 credits 10 th grade = 85 credits 11 th grade = 145 credits

Making up Credits SS – Summer School – ballot in the spring. ESS – Extended Summer School – make up a class after school. 0 or 8 th period – make up a class before or after school if available. *no credit is given for repeating a course for a better grade.
