Strategically starts out with a small seed of suspicion, and builds on it, Uses persuasive imagery and language; animalistic references. “ If you bethink yourself of any crime unreconciled as yet to heaven and grace, solicit for it straight.” – Act 5, Scene 2, Line 26

Roderigo Desperately in love with Desdemona Emotional and rash when he is unsure and feels betrayed Easily led by others; Roderigo trusts Iago completely “It is silliness to live, when to live is a torment; and then we have a prescription to die, when death is our physician.” –Act 1, Scene 3, Line 307 “What should I do?
