LBUSD is currently facing a unique set of challenges and opportunities. It is imperative that we look intensely and thoroughly at increased use of educational technology to meet these challenges and transform student learning. Today, and in the future, technology will be integral, ubiquitous, and for those not ready for the changes, disruptive.

State and County required multi-year plan will be completed Goal #1 In-house vision statement will be completed defining phased targets for each site in terms of technology acquision and staff development Goal #2 Budget Plans will be completed in line with the overall master plan Goal #3 Site tech support will be identified in terms of structure for this task Goal #4

Curriculum Professional Development Infrastructure Funding and Budget Monitoring and Evaluation Curriculum Profesional Development Infrastructure Funding and Budget Monitoring and Evaluation Develop clear goals and a specific implementation plan for using technology to improve teaching and learning (Goals 1 & 2) Develop clear goals and an implementation plan for providing the necessary professional development to teachers, administrators, and other district personnel (Goals 1 & 2) Determine the hardware, software and technical support needed for implementation of the Curriculum and Professional Development objectives (Goals 1 & 4) Develop annual budgets for the five year duration of the plan (Goals 1 & 3) Articulate benchmarks for monitoring and evaluating the plan as a whole (All Goals)

How and when students will acquire technology and information literacy skills 3. Programs and methods of utilizing technology that ensure appropriate access to all students 4. Provides the means by which the school district will determine whether the plan is effective. Includes a decision-making process that provides for revision of the plan where needed. Monitoring and Evaluation

Each subgroup will work asynchronously (using Google Docs) to answer the guiding questions for their section.

Victor and Mark will work asynchronously with the steering committee (district leadership) to complete a polished draft of the entire plan, including chapters 1, 2, 8, & 9. This draft will incorporate feedback from the committee review, the staff forum, and the community forum.
