2 AA Citizen is a person with certain rights and duties under a government YYou are a citizen if you were born in the united states or in one of its territories AAs long as one of your parents is a citizen, it does not matter where you were born

3  Obeying the laws  Defending the nation  Serving on a jury or as a witness in court  Paying taxes  Attending school

4  Nationalized citizens have all the rights and duties of citizens by birth except the right to be president or vice president  To be nationalized means you have gone through the process of becoming a citizen

5  The number one job of a citizen is voting in elections.  Voting is the best check we have against tyranny in the government and incompetent politicians.  If you don’t like some of the idea you can vote on it.  The idea on abortion  The president don’t keep his pants on vote him out etc.

6  They don’t have the some rights as a citizen if you are convicted of trying to over throw the United States government by force their citizenship will be taking away.  They can’t be president or vice president

7  A citizen have the power to decide what our government can and can not do.  We can elect:  Representatives  Members of congress  The president etc.

8  As a citizen you have special privileges called rights. The government protects those rights. In our country, you have  Freedom of speech  The right to vote and to hold elected office  The right to practice your own religion  The right to have a fair trial

9  Active participants  Contributing to the common good  Setting priorities for citizenship

10  Today’s citizens struggle to understand their constantly  Changing rights  Obligations under social services  Tax  Other regulations.
