The GPS Tools Form Maintaining spatial data about assets, events and other objects.

The GPSTools form can be started from the OpenTAMS Menu bar, and from TAMSMap Assets This displays Assets and their spatial coordinates. Only assets registered in TAMS are listed. The “Global Record IDs” of assets are used. From TAMSMap - Click to display asset(s) close to the coordinates selected in TAMSMap. To TAMSMap - Click to jump to the coordinates selected here Export selected assets for further work. Objects and events can be located in 3-dimensions using any source of data including Google Earth and GPS devices. Eastings and Northings can also be used. From TAMSMap – Click to register the coordinates of an object selected therein. Can be used to digitise locations from aerial photographs and maps. This form is used with TAMSMap to handle spatial and aspatial data and spatial operations.

Assets Click to display details of the highlighted asset. These can be from any module.

Assets Click to display and select Tasks to be connected to assets selected here.

Locations And Incidents Click to display and maintain the types of objects that have been defined. This displays object and incidents and their spatial coordinates. Assets from other registers might also be listed.

Locations And Incidents Click to display and select registered assets relevant to the highlighted object. Assets from any module can be selected - for example a bridge might carry a road segment and a water main.

Locations And Incidents Click to display and select electronic documents relevant to the highlighted object.

Locations And Incidents Click to display and select Street Addresses relevant to the highlighted object.
