23 Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta PDP Components Developmental goal Developmental actions Timeframe Support needed/barriers to overcome 23

24 Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Example Development Goal Improve my “Personal Accountability” regarding criticizing others, the organization, or how things are done so that I will be more productive and positive in my interactions with others. I will know that I have been successful when I receive feedback that I have a more positive attitude, and when I look for solutions to problems, instead of criticizing things I disagree with. 24

25 Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Example Developmental Actions 1.Identify those individuals of whom I am most critical. 2.Monitor my words and actions so if I do not have something positive to say, or I do not have a solution to a problem, I do not make comments. 3.Write down those times when I have been critical and what I said, and then reflect on the situation. Determine what I could have done/said differently to avoid being critical. 4.Ask for feedback from my peers and supervisor as to improvement in this area. 25
