The Serengeti Plain is in the north. The highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, is in Tanzania. The lowest point in Africa is also in Tanzania—Lake Tanganyika. The weather is hot and humid along the coast, cooler inland by the hills and mountains.
