5. Planning a Unit Year 2 Non-Fiction Unit 3 – Information Texts 1.Start with the overview Pick out the key elements of the unit – what do you need to cover? Decide on a theme / texts – are there any purposeful cross-curricular links? Consider motivation – how could you capture the children’s attention / enthusiasm?
