5 Sample Tasks should… Reflect the integration of the CCLS Shifts for Mathematics Focus Coherence Fluency Deep Understanding Applications Dual Intensity

6 Expectations of Sample Tasks
Sample Tasks SHOULD have: Be SAVED in 2007 Version of Microsoft Word Multiple Questions per Skill MUST be Aligned to Standards!!! Varied Level of Difficulty Levels of Blooms MUST BE CONSIDERED: ALL DOMAINS SHOULD INCLUDE: EXPLAIN…, COMPARE & CONTRAST…, or DESCRIBE…, etc. Embedded literacy must be represented New York City Department of Education- Sample Task Documents (link provided on DCA site) Objectives for instruction and expected results and/or skills developed from learning.

7 Guidelines for Creating Answer KEYS
Answers should be correct, thorough & illustrated/ written neatly ALL work should be shown Consider representing multiple solutions (when deemed necessary) Rubric development & guidance Relative vocabulary list.

8 Scope & Sequence *Retrieve Scope & Sequence from DCA site & POST by GRADE when complete! Under each month: List the Concepts & Major Skills Write the CCLS that align to Each Concept List the Key Spiral Skills from previous grade/ or month(s) A list of procedures and steps, or a lecture slide with media.

10 When you are ALL DONE… Share CCLS Units that you have developed in- district with your grade level team Review CCLS Units against Tri-State Rubrics Share Reflections Discuss “Post-April” curriculum for school year What gaps will need to be closed this year?
