Regulation (EU) No 235/2014 of 11/03/2014 covers the period 2014-2020 EIDHR shall provide assistance to development and consolidation of democracy and the rule of law and of respect for all human rights and fundamental freedoms Objectives: Supporting, developing and consolidating democracy in third countries Enhancing respect for and observance of human rights and fundamental freedoms as proclaimed in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights Total allocation for 2014-2020: EUR 1 332 752 000 (around EUR 157 million per year) EIDHR 2014-2020
