3 3 WHAT’S ON OFFER ? MyKindaFuture are teaming up with City & Guilds to give you the opportunity to win a CV-boosting prize. Getting experience on your CV helps you stand out from the crowd. MY DIGITAL FUTURE CHALLENGE

4 4 If you’re aged between 14 and 25 and would like the chance to win, we’re asking you to imagine you’re an employer. You are looking for ways to communicate digitally with young people looking for a job. The challenge is to create an online campaign that will inspire young job seekers to want to work with you. We’re looking for an idea that is interactive, innovative and appeals to the target audience. It can be as simple or complex as you like – as long as it fits the brief! Submissions can be in the form of a written pitch, a storyboard, an annotated diagram, a video, or anything else that you feel clearly explains your idea. HOW CAN I ENTER?

5 5 DON’T WORRY, WE’RE HERE TO HELP! Follow our easy process to guide you through our challenge, and towards winning our exclusive work experience prize. WHERE DO I START? Answer the following 5 questions in order to create your entry to the My Digital Future challenge…

6 6 QUESTION 1 WHAT MAKES A JOB ATTRACTIVE? Mind map all the reasons you can think of that would attract young people to a particular job role, company or employer. Then pick your top 3 ideas, these now form the MESSAGE of your campaign.

7 7 GIVE YOUR CAMPAIGN A NAME QUESTION 2 You now have a message that your campaign needs to communicate to young job seekers. Pick a name for your online campaign. Your name should reflect your message and appeal to your target audience.

8 8 QUESTION 3 Again, go back to your target audience. Which online platforms do they use? Pick as many online tools as you like. Together, these form the STRATEGY for your campaign. For example, you could think about using… HOW WILL YOU COMMUNICATE YOUR MESSAGE?

9 9 HOW CAN YOU GET PEOPLE TALKING? Launch your campaign with a bang! Create some hype! What will get people sharing, liking, retweeting and signing up to your campaign? QUESTION 4 Lego Turtle Delivery They fooled customers with the promise of: ONE DAY ONLY! Orders placed today will be delivered via REAL turtle. If you weren’t aware of selfies before this photo was taken, you definitely were after this marketing ploy.

10 10 HOW WILL YOU SUBMIT YOUR IDEA? Pick a form - a written pitch, a storyboard, an annotated diagram, a video, or anything else that you feel clearly explains your idea. Use your answers from Questions 1 – 4 to tell us about your campaign and how it will work. Feel free to add anything else that you think will make your idea stand out from the competition!
