Ramona was bored when she had to come home from school. She was 8 years old. She has light skin with dark hair. She was ashamed when she cracked an egg in her hair. She was furious when she had to make dinner. I thought she was weird when she was sick. She was nice when she first saw her teacher. She was nice on the first day of school.

Author’s Message Ramona had different problems. One problem was she had to make dinner. How it was solved was she did her work without crying. Ramona learned to be nice to her mom and dad. I learned to be nice to my mom and dad.

Book Recommendation The book I read was Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary. It is a realistic fiction book. It is a b00k about a girl that has lots of problems and who solves them in a silly way. I will recommend it to my friends because it is very, very, very, very, very, very, funny.

Connections Text to text = In the book, Yard Ape was mean to Ramona. This reminds me of the book, Trading Places with Tank Talbot because Tank is mean to Jason. Text to self = Ramona reminds me of me sometimes because we’re both 8. Text to self = Like Ramona Mrs. Whaley reminds me of me sometimes because if she has directions and people don’t follow them, she gets mad. I get mad if I give people directions and they don’t follow them.
