2. نحوه سوالی کردن با کلمات پرسشی
مهمترین کلمات پرسشی عبارتند از
What( چه چیزی )
Where( کجا )
When( چه وقت )
Who ( چه کسی )
How ( چگونه ، چطور )
Whose( برای چه کسی )
Why( چرا )
How many ( چند تا )
How much ( چقدر )

3. افعال کمکی They have lunch at home.
افعال کمکی به فعل های زیر گفته می شود :
am – is – are – was – were – can – could – will
would – should – have – has – do – does – did
فعل های have,has اگر قبل از فعل اصلی بیایند فعل کمکی محسوب می شوند .
Example: They have studied English.
(فعل کمکی)
They have lunch at home.
(فعل اصلی)

4. سوالی با افعال کمکی و اصلی
اگر جمله ای دارای فعل های کمکی
am-is-are-can-could-will-would-have-has
باشد جمله سوالی با جابجایی فعل کمکی و فاعل تشکیل می شود.
در صورتی که جمله دارای فعل کمکی نباشد در جمله سوالی از فعل کمکی do-does در زمان حال ساده واز فعل کمکی didدرزمان گذشته ساده استفاده می کنیم.

5. سوالی با افعال کمکی
برای سوالی ابتدا قسمت مورد سوال را حذف می کنیم و به جای آن کلمه پرسشی مناسب قرار داده و جای فعل کمکی و فاعل را عوض می کنیم. به مثال ها توجه کنید:

کلمه پرسشی اول جمله می آید.
That man is in the post office now.
Where is that man now?

7. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشیWhere
The boys clean the room. Where do they clean? That man goes to the post office. Where does that man go?

8. پاسخ دادن
در جواب معمولا از ضمایر فاعلی استفاده می کنیم ضمایرفاعلی عبارتند از: I –You – He – She –It –We –They Where is that boy? ( at home) He is at home.

9. پاسخ دادن
Where do you work? I work in a restaurant. Where does he study? He studies at school.

10. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی What
برای پرسیدن مفعول شی یا شغل شخص ازWhat استفاده می کنیم. Those are cars. What are those? آنها چه چیزی هستند ؟ My brother is a teacher. What is your brother?برادرت چکاره است؟

11. پاسخ دادن
What is that? It is a cake . What is your father? He is a farmer.

12. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی What
we eat dinner at a restaurant on Fridays. What do you eat at a restaurant on Fridays? He teaches Persian in school. What does he teach in school?

13. پاسخ دادن What do you want ? I want two eggs. What does he need?
He needs a ticket.

14. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی When
They go to bed at 10 every night.
When do they go to bed every night?
The post office opens at 8 every day.
When does the post office open every day?

15. پاسخ دادن
When do you go to school? I go to school at 7. When does she eat lunch? She eats lunch at 12.

16. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی Who
برای پرسیدن فاعل از Who استفاده می کنیم افعال کمکی am , is , are That boy is Reza. Who is that boy? Mr.Amini is an English teacher. Who is an English teacher?

17. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی Who
سوالی با سایر فعل های کمکی : Ali can swim very well. Who can swim very well? The students should study hard for test. Who should study hard for test?

18. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی Who
افعال اصلی: زمانی در جمله ،فعلی اصلی بکار رود ، بدلیل نبودن فاعل جمله ، فعل کمکی do/does بکار نمی رود.
Mr. Smith teaches in this school.
Who teaches in this school?
فعل اصلی همیشه بصورت مفرد در این جملات سوالی استفاده می شود.
My brothers play ping-pong on Fridays.
Who plays ping-pong on Fridays?

19. پاسخ دادن
Who is that man? He is Shahid Mahdi Bakeri. Who can ride a horse well?(Fred) Fred can ride a horse well.

20. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی How
برای پرسیدن قید حالت و وسیله نقلیه از How استفاده می کنیم. He speaks English well. How does he speak? My father goes to Shiraz by plane? How does your father go to Shiraz?

21. پاسخ دادن
How do you speak English? (well) I speak English well . How does he travel to Tabriz? He travels to Tabriz by train.

22. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشیWhose
برای پرسیدن مالکیت انسانی از Whose استفاده می کنیم. This is her scarf. Whose scarf is this ? Those are Mina’s pens. Whose pens are those?

23. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشیWhose
We usually need his car in the office. Whose car do you usually need in the office? She sees her mother’s friend in the street. Whose friend does she see in the street ? Bita’s mother is cooking food in the kitchen. Whose mother is cooking food in the kitchen?

Whose pencil is that? That is Nader’s pencil. Whose watch do you see in the picture? I see Hadi’s watch in the picture.

25. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی How many
برای پرسیدن تعداد ( یا صفاتی که تعداد را نشان می دهد) از How many استفاده می کنیم. There are a lot of books in the library. How many books are there in the library?

26. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی How many
We should eat fish two times in a week.
How many times should you eat fish in a week?
He drinks some cups of tea every morning.
How many cups of tea does he drink every morning?

27. پاسخ دادن
How many students were there in class? There were four students in class. How many people do you see in the picture? We see a few people in it.

28. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی How much
برای پرسیدن مقدار ( یا صفاتی که مقدار را نشان می دهد) از How much استفاده می کنیم. There is some water in the glass. How much water is there in the glass? He drinks a little tea in the morning. How much tea does he drink in the morning?

29. پاسخ دادن
How much money is there in the box? There is a lot of money in the box. How much is a ticket? A ticket is 200 tomans. How much is two and five? Two and five is seven. ( or “are” )

30. پاسخ دادن
How much soup do you eat for lunch? I eat some soup for lunch. How much tea does he drink for breakfast? He drinks a little tea for breakfast.

31. سوالی کردن با کلمه پرسشی Why
برای پرسیدن علت از Why استفاده می کنیم. They learn English for earning a good job. Why do they learn English? I am here because I’m lost. Why are you here?

32. پاسخ دادن They are eating lunch now because they are hungry.
Why are they eating lunch now?( hungry)
They are eating lunch now because they are hungry.
Why do you practice in the mornings?( good for health)
I practice in the mornings because it is good for health.

33. سوالی با سایر کلمات پرسشی
کلمات پرسشی دیگری نیز در زبان انگلیسی بکار می رود، مانند: How old? برای پرسیدن سن ( به معنی چند ساله) How long برای پرسیدن چه مدت زمان ( به معنی چه مدت) What for= why What do you do? = what is your job? What dayچند شنبه What timeبرای پرسیدن ساعت انجام فعل
