2. 63 rd IETF PWE3 2 Overview  Fibre Channel transport over MAN and WAN to extend SAN applications such as disaster recovery and business continuity.  Market demands Fibre Channel services over PSN to allow shared infrastructure.  PWE3 offers a service agnostics, Layer 2 transport for various protocols.  Simplicity and transparency are key requirements for deployment of FC services from the carrier perspective.  Reuse the exiting building blocks as defined by the PWE WG to support FC service.
