1. My Inquiry Question:
What would it be like to be in an Italian school and how would it be different to a N.Z school?

2. How many Stages are There?
There are 5 stages to school and they are:
Kindergarten
Elementary (Primary) School
Middle (Intermediate) School
High School
University
5 Stages

3. What Subjects does a Normal Italian Student Learn?
These are the subjects that a normal Italian student would learn:
Italian
English
Mathematics
Life and Earth Science
History
Geography
Social Sciences (Landscape Learning)
Physical Education (P.E)
Visual and Musical Arts
These have some of the subjects we learn and some we don’t like Life and Earth science and History!

4. How Long are you in School for?
In Italy you are in school when you are 6-16! We start at 5 not 6!
In Elementary you are there for 5 years! We are in Primary for 6 years!
In Kindergarten you are there for 3 years just like us!
In Middle School you are there for 3 years but here in N.Z. we are there for 2 years!
And in High School you are there for 5 years! 6 5

5. How Long are you in School in Each Day?
In Italy you are in school from 8:30am to 1:30pm in Primary and 8:00am to 1:00pm in High School and when you end school you go home just to have a BIG lunch with your WHOLE family! I wish I lived in Italy!

6. Some Interesting Facts!
Take a look at some of these interesting facts!
You attend school 6 days a week!
90% of Italian students attend public schools!
Students don’t wear school uniform where here in N.Z. we do!
Girls are not allowed to wear pants! (Only Skirts!)
School is Compulsory so you HAVE to go! 6

7. What Have I Learnt From This?
I have learnt many things from this inquiry question about how N.Z. and Italy are different in school education like that in Italy they start school when they are 6 and we start at 5 and that they have totally different subjects to us. So now I know how they are different!
