Great River Passage Plan More natural, more urban, more connected A more robust trail system that provides better access to the natural environment, specifically the river Creating a continuous recreational experience along the river corridor Weave the Great River Park into the fabric of Saint Paul

What is missing here? There is no direct access to Pigs Eye and the river from District 1 – only access is from the river Underpass from Battle Creek to west side of Highway 61 feels unsafe There is a disconnect from Battle Creek Park to Pigs Eye Natural area “you can’t get there from here…”

Bike/Ped/(canoe…) access A visible, safe, and universally accessible bridge over Highway 61 to Pigs Eye Lake Open a natural resource to a diverse community that currently lacks any direct connection to the river Connect with the Red Rock Corridor planning – transit station at Lower Afton?
