Living from the Secret Place

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty —Psalm 91:1 (NKJV)

“If you don’t have a secret place with God, you will have a secret place for sin” —Pastor Dale Crall

2 Samuel 24:24 I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.

2 Kings 15:18 [Menahem] did evil in the eyes of the Lord. During his entire reign he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.

1 Kings 12:28-30 After seeking advice, the king made two golden calves. He said to the people, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” 29 One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin; the people came to worship the one at Bethel and went as far as Dan to worship the other. 31 Jeroboam built shrines on high places and appointed priests from all sorts of people, even though they were not Levites….

2 Kings 17 7 All this took place because the Israelites had sinned against the Lord their God, who had brought them up out of Egypt from under the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. They worshiped other gods 8 and followed the practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before them, as well as the practices that the kings of Israel had introduced. 9 The Israelites secretly did things against the Lord their God that were not right. From watchtower to fortified city they built themselves high places in all their towns.

2 Kings 17 12 They worshiped idols, though the Lord had said, “You shall not do this.” 14 But they would not listen and were as stiff- necked as their ancestors, who did not trust in the Lord their God. 15 They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors and the statutes he had warned them to keep. They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless. They imitated the nations around them although the Lord had ordered them, “Do not do as they do.”

Psalm 119:72 The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.

“The Word brings faith in the same way that food brings calories” —Dale Crall

Psalm 119:162 I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoil.

Mark 4:25 Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
