Technology Department ELENA Fast Deflector : high voltage pickups There is still work to be done to get a precise high voltage pickup as requested for this application to avoid oscillations. (flattop and platbottom stability at 0.1%) A new pickup design has been already designed, on the base of the North Star high voltage probe, including a 50 Ohms series resistor to adapt to the cable impedance, reorganization of the components in «star topology», ground plane on low voltage side, removed adjustable capacitor.
