Public Engagement at UCL Supports staff and students in Public Engagement activities Offers advice and guidance on creating Public Engagement activities Connect people Provides funding Advises on funding bids for money outside of UCL Provides opportunities for Public Engagement in centrally coordinated events. Evaluation guidance Training

Examples of types of activities supported: Taking part in dialogue about the direction of our research and teaching. Supporting communities with our expertise. Creating opportunities for people outside the University to contribute their research and knowledge to our programmes. Nurturing a society in which the next generation want to take part in research, teaching and learning. Telling public groups about our work. Creating knowledge in collaboration with communities and interest groups outside the University. EPSRC funded Pathways to Impact Prize of £2000 Second prize £1000 Opportunity to pitch your idea for a positive impact project to a public audience, and win the funds to take that project forward.

How does it work? You have an idea for a project We train you in how to pitch to a public audience 4-5 projects pitched at event Audience discuss your project with you Audience vote for the winner and runner up! After event, we work with you to develop your idea and take it forward
