Transpiration is the release of water vapor into the atmosphere by plants.
Sublimation is when solid water changes directly to water vapor without first becoming a liquid.
Sublimation can occur when dry air blows over ice or snow.
Sublimation, transpiration, evaporation are in the order from the process that adds the least water to the process that adds the most water to the atmosphere.

Rain, snow, and hail are forms of precipitation.
Rain is a liquid form of precipitation.
