Answers A. changes over time--LINE B. Comparison of many different types-- BAR C. Compares parts of the whole—Circle or Pie Chart

Circle Graph (AKA Pie Chart) A poll was taken of how the freshmen class likes its pizza. There were 65 students who were polled. The results were that 25 liked cheese only while 30 liked pepperoni and cheese. The remaining 10 enjoy sausage on their pizza. Create a TABLE of this information.

Title: Data Table 1: Freshmen Pizza Topping Preferences ToppingNumber of Students Cheese only25 Pepperoni30 Sausage10
6
The calculations! We need to find the % for each. % = part/whole x 100 Cheese = 25/65 x 100 (round to nearest whole percent) Cheese = 38%
7
% pepperoni % = part/whole x 100 Pepperoni = 30/65 x 100 (round to nearest whole percent) % Pepperoni = 46%
8
% Sausage % = part/whole x 100 % Sausage = 10/65 x 100 (round to the nearest whole percent) % Sausage = 15% Create another table of the percentages
9
Data Table 2: Percentages of Pizza Preferences ToppingPercentage Cheese Only38% Pepperoni46% Sausage10%
10
Now draw a circle and make estimates on the percentages % pepperoni = 46% Estimate the closest fractional part represented by this fraction. ½ = 50% so color in less than half of the picture one color to represent pepperoni
11
Estimate the other half of the circle Only 15% of the circle is sausage, so this should be a very small area of the circle. How small? Compare the cheese % = 38 % this is roughly over two times bigger than 15% so divide the half of the circle that remains into three parts. Color 2 of those parts the same color for cheese and the remaining one third is a different color for sausage.

Question of the Day (QOD) Shareeka decided to test the boiling points of several liquids. The boiling point of acetone is found to be 56.48 0 C. The boiling point of water is 100 0 C. Benzene boiled at 80.10 0 C. Create a table from this information.

Does your table have a title? Data Table 3: Boiling Points SubstanceTemperature ( 0 C) Be sure to have the unit of measure! Acetone56.48 Water100.0 Benzene80.10
15
Create two axes for the graph. Scale the axes for measurement.

Line Graph Camille wanted to observe the change in temperature of a reaction. The original temperature of the two unmixed substances was 20 0 C. After the two solutions were mixed, the temperature rose to 25 0 C in the first 10 s. After 15 s, it is 40 0 C. After 30 s total time, its temperature peaks at 50 0 C. Create a table of this information.
