EMTTS Applications › Desktop App › Old Web App › New Web App

Desktop Application apart from its desktop, has a lot of database and Application design Issues An attempt was made in Old Web Application to resolve application design Issues. 3 main issues › It is not complete, only BO module was working › Build on same database which has design issues › Google Gear Technology was used that is out dated now New Web Application is design and implemented from scratch. We tried our best to make it as much flexible as possible to meet future requirements of post We have tried to use up to date technologies and build it on modular approach. Application has in build flow for each article from booking to delivery But to accommodate existing users and some practical issues, we have also incorporated old isolated way of handling articles without any in build flow.

Adaptation of web based application is a challenge Deployment of New Application all over POST may not be a good idea. Deployment can be done in phases Phase 1 (BO) › 24 Active BO locations will be moved from Old Application to New Application › Integration of New Application with Old Application to replicate the bookings done through New Application BO › Old Application will be kept functional as backup › This will insure smooth working of post
98
Phase 2 (DMO) › Remove Old Application from All BO Locations › All Active DMO locations will be moved from Old Application to New Application › Integration of New Application with Old Application to replicate the bags related activities done through New Application › Old Application will be kept functional as backup › This will insure smooth working of post
99
Phase 3 (DO) › Remove Old Application from All DMO Locations › All Active DO locations will be moved from Old Application to New Application › Integration of New Application with Old Application to replicate the bags related activities done through New Application › Old Application will be kept functional as backup › This will insure smooth working of post
