Main Characters This is Kendra Sorenson. She is a teenager. Kendra is an A student and worries about many things. She does not have many friends.
3
Main Characters This is Kendra’s younger brother, Seth Sorenson. He is a very poor student and is overconfident with himself. He has a whole lot of friends.
4
Setting Kendra and Seth have to stay with their grandparents while their parents are on a cruise. Their grandparents are caretakers of Fablehaven. Fablehaven is a large mystical forest that stretches on for miles.
5
Summary of plot On Midsummer’s Eve, Seth opens a window to the house and lets in bad mystical creatures. The creatures kidnap their grandfather and maid. Later, they find their grandmother who had been turned into a chicken. After they take her to a witch to be returned to normal, they search for their grandfather and maid. Kendra is able to free them from the evil black dragon Bahumat.
6
Theme One of the themes that I found in this book was determination. Kendra and Seth never gave up looking for their grandparents and their friends. Even when they were in life- threatening situations, they continued to search. In the end, their determination paid off. They found their grandparents and saved the day.
7
Point of View Kendra and Seth Sorenson are the people who tell the story of Fablehaven. This story was told in 3 rd Person.

Conflict The main conflict came at the end of the story when Kendra had to battle the evil dragon Bahumat. Bahumat ends up capturing everyone except for Kendra. She finds a fairy queen who helps her make a potion to make all the fairies human size. They all battle the dragon and destroy him for good. Kendra and the fairies free everyone else.
