2. Planometric Views A Planometric view is a type of pictorial view.
It allows a realistic bird’s eye view of an area or workspace.
It is most commonly used for interior designers to show clients their ideas for room layouts.

3. Planometric Views Planometrics are draw using the angles shown below.

4. Planometric Views
When drawing planometrics we first of all draw the plan of an object, full size, on the base of our crate at the correct angles.
Then we project vertically the correct distance and draw the shapes there.

5. Planometric Views
Shown opposite is a sketch of a shape and orthographic views of the shape.

We will now draw a planometric view of this shape.

6. Planometric Views
Start by drawing the plan full size on the base of the planometric view.

Now project up the heights from this base at 90°. These heights should be drawn full size from the Elevation.

They give a clear view into a workspace or room.
They are commonly used by interior designers to show room layouts particularly kitchen layouts.
