Why am I interested in this? I am interested in this carreer because it’s something I can do with my hands. I used to be a cleanup kid for a heavy duty mechanic shop so I’ve been around mechanics and been around semi trucks before. I’m really fortunate to have been able to work at a shop to get really good experience and to have been able to find out that this is what I want to do!

Education There really isn’t education to get into diesel mechanics, all you need to have is coveralls and good steal toe boots.

Salary and Future outlook Salary when I get out of school will be around 18-25$ and hr. After i get 2 nd, 3 rd, apprenticeship I can make more and when I get my Journey Man I could make 35-90$ an hr depending on where I work. My future outlook is that I can go work pretty much anywhere. I can go overseas and make lots of money, but I would have to live in a foreign country/city.
