2. DO NOT - Sign up your friends for service activities. DO NOT - Sign up for Trashy/Teacher Tuesday or Save the Trees Thursday more than 2 times. DO have your service cards signed within one week of the service opportunity. Reminders:

3. Personal Service Be sure to have the sponsoring service organization sign off for your personal service hours.

4. Hours “Procrastination is the foundation of all disasters!” ~Pandora Poikilos NHS has sponsored 25 service hours that members could participate in this semester. You only need 6. This does not include the 4 service hours that students can participate in to receive their NHS hours from Trashy Tuesday and Save the Trees Thursday. There have been many opportunities to complete the NHS service hours. It was a personal choice whether you achieved the requirement or not.

5. NHS service hours coming up.... Squad Jobs are 6-9p.m. tonight! (December 9, 2015) Just sign up and show up. Candlelight Ushering: (December 15, 2015 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.) There are no more slots open for this service opportunity. Make sure to show up if you are signed up. Orchestra Ushering: (December 17, 2015 from 6:45-8:15 p.m.) There is still one more spot open!

Service Cards 1st Semester service cards are due January 14th by 3:00pm The failure to turn in a properly completed service card on or before the due date each semester is cause for placing a student on NHS probation. Remember that if you did not show up to an activity you signed up for, you must make up the hour you missed. NHS Service Hours must be signed by Ms. Albrecht or Ms. Schackelford within a week of service.

7. Shirts Please wear your NHS shirt to all NHS sponsored service opportunities (except Trashy Tuesday and Save the Trees Thursday). If you have not received your shirt, you CANNOT get one because you have missed the cut of date for the order forms and the fees.

8. Fees To maintain good standing in our Bingham High School National Honor Society Chapter, every member needs to pay the membership fees of $20.00 in the front office. Membership dues should have been paid in September. If you have not paid do so now. (Although you will not receive a shirt)

9. Probation Probation notices will come out at the end of 1st semester. Each member should have attended at least 2 membership meetings, completed 1st semester's required service hours, paid membership dues, and maintained a 3.7 GPA and academic honesty. If you did not meet the above requirements you will be put on probation. You will be expected to make up service hours for those you missed. SENIORS: If you do anything that would lead to probation during 2nd semester, you will no longer be a part of National Honor Society.

11. Social Media Instagram: bingham_nhs Hashtag: #bhsnhs201516 If you take any pictures doing service post them on instagram with the hashtag and there will be prizes at the end of the year for the best picture!

12. Be Informed! We will not be distributing calendars with NHS service opportunities. It will be your responsibility to check our NHS bulletin board in the media center, come to NHS membership meetings - the 2nd Wednesday of every month, and check out our NHS website to see what NHS sponsored service opportunities we are hosting. The NHS website is under the academics tab on the Bingham Miner homepage. The sign up service binders are on the table under the bulletin board in the media center.

13. This Powerpoint will be on the NHS site on the Bingham Home page for further references. Make sure to tell your friends who missed the meeting to check out the PowerPoint online to receive information.
