3 Important Elements Ask these questions:  Is it Informative?  Is it Interesting?  Is it True?

4 Is it informative?... A newspaper article includes information about: People PlacesEvents

5 Is it interesting?...  Who will want to read this?  Is there a personal connection?  Can the reader use the information?  Will the reader want to know more?

6 Is it true?...  Is it true?  Did your information come from a reliable source?  Is it kind?

7 Edit  Proofread.  Check spelling.  Check capitals and endings.  Check punctuation.  Have stories checked by the teacher.
