SIERRA How to remove an MBlock hold
2
Removing an MBlock hold An MBlock hold is placed on a patron’s record when he/she accrues $10 or more in fines. This hold is represented as a SIS Block. An MBlock should be removed when a patron pays his/her fine (either all of it or a portion to reduce it to under $10). To remove a SIS block: 1. Scan patron’s Bearcard 2. 2. Click on edit to access complete patron record 3. 3. Locate Mblock field and double click on SIS Block. Select Default and OK. 4. 4. Save record and close Click video to the right for demo

In addition to… In addition to removing the SIS block, you should remove Swilley library holds in CampusVue If the patron is paying fines accrued from another University library, call that library and ask them to remove the hold We want to encourage patrons to check out items, so if a patron has a hold and still needs to checkout, please allow check out (especially for items like study rooms and laptops). Please direct any problems to the Circulation Manager.
