4. Code of Virginia states that: Standard 7 (Student Academic Progress) must account for at least 40% of a principal’s evaluation*. *SGPs are recommended, when available and appropriate.

6. And…  A 3- or 4-point scale is recommended for principal evaluations.

9. Developing/Needs Improvement: The principal inconsistently fosters the success of students by facilitating the development, communication, implementation, or evaluation of a shared vision of teaching and learning that leads to student academic progress and school improvement.

10. Unacceptable: The principal does not foster the success of all students by facilitating the development, communication, implementation, or evaluation of a shared vision of teaching and learning that leads to student academic progress and school improvement.
