Military & Adoption Leave Policies First Reading May 1, 2012

MILITARY LEAVE BENEFIT: – 5 days paid leave – Runs concurrently with FMLA ELIGIBILILTY: – Military Spouse, child or parent deployed overseas – Can be used before or while on leave from deployment

ADOPTION LEAVE BENEFIT: – 4 weeks paid leave – Runs concurrently with FMLA ELIGIBILILTY: – Within 3 weeks of placement of adopted child in employee’s home – Available after employee uses 10 days of sick leave – For employees married to each other, one will be eligible at a time
