2 Predicate Nouns A noun in the predicate that renames the subject is a predicate noun. (has to be a noun) Luis is a boy. Subject Pred. Noun You could put the Predicate Noun in for the subject and it would make sense.

3 Predicate Adjective An adjective in the predicate that describes the subject. The man is tall and ugly. Subject Predicate Adjectives Follows a linking verb Linking verbs connect subject to adjective or another noun
