6. I am most like Quatchi because he play’s hockey and I play hockey. Quatchi works really hard at trying to be a goaltender and tries his best at everything just like me. We both like to travel. OLYMPIC MASCOTS The three Olympic mascot’s are Miga,Quatchi and sumi. My favourite mascot is Quatchi. Guess what Quatchi loves to explore! I was surprised to learn that Quatchi is timid or shy. Quatchi loves being with friends and is working on taking pictures.

7. Have you heard about an Olympic mascot sidekick? Well I didn’t. His name is Mukmuk and he is a Marmot. And did you know that some people have been signing a petition to make Mukmuk a full mascot. Mukmuk comes from a Squamish First Nations word muckamuck which means food. Mukmuk loves to eat!.

8. OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY Did you know that the Olympic Torch Relay started on October 22, 2009? The torch toured Greece for 8 days before it was handed over to Canadian officials. They flew with it on a private Jet to Victoria on the west coast of Canada. This was the official beginning of the 2010 torch Relay. It will end in Vancouver on February 11, 2010.
