Objectives I.How to know the printer status. II.To give some solutions with trouble Ⅴ. Troubleshooting

Error Light Image [Description ] The printed image is light with no ghost. [Wrong Part] 1. Developer 2. HVPS 3. SMPS / LSU 5V Micro Switch [Check and Cause] 1. Check whether the Toner Save mode is on. 2. Develop roller is stained when the toner of developer cartridge is almost consumed. 3. Ambient temperature is below than approximately 0°C. 4. Bad contact between the SMPS and the Main Controller in the set. 5. Abnormal output from the SMPS. 6. Check 5V_LSU ( No. 4 pin of CN9 ). [Solution] 1. Clean up the contaminated area on the developer kit and try to print out. 2. Replace the developer cartridge and try to print out. 2. Wait about 30 minutes after printer is powered on before start printing. 4. Replace the SMPS if the problems are not solved by the above four ways. 5. Replace the micro switch connected to CN9. 4. Trouble & Solution (1)

Ⅴ. Troubleshooting Error Fuser Error ( Open, Low, Over Heat Error) [Description ] The LCD displays ‘Open Heat Error’, ‘Low Heat Error’ or ‘Over Heat Error’. [Wrong Part] 1. Fuser 2. Main PBA 3. SMPS [Check and Cause] 1. Check whether the thermostat, AC wire and Heat Lamp is open. 2. Check whether the thermistor is located in proper position. 3. Check whether the fuser control circuit on the main controller and the SMPS is broken (short or open). [Solution] 1. If the thermostat is open, replace the fuser. But this set could make the fuser error again, so need to check there is another problem on the main controller and the SMPS. 2. If the thermistor is located on the wrong position, replace the fuser. 3. Replace the main controller and the SMPS. 4. Trouble & Solution (2)

Ⅴ. Troubleshooting Error Hsync Error [Description ] The printing process is stopped in the feeding status and the LCD displays ‘Hsync Error’. [Wrong Part] 1. LSU 2. Main Controller 3. LSU Micro Switch (Harness) [Check and Cause] 1. Check the connection of 5V_LSU ( No. 4 pin of CN9 ) and the LSU Micro Switch Harness. 2. Extraneous substance stuck on the window of internal lenses of LSU mirror. 3. Some defect on the LSU Interface part of the main controller. [Solution] 1. Replace the Micro Switch Harness. 2. Replace the LSU 3. Replace the Main Controller. 4. Trouble & Solution (3)

Ⅴ. Troubleshooting Error Door Open [Description ] The LCD displays ‘Door Open’ during all covers are closed. [Wrong Part] 1. Hook Lever in the Front or Rear cover. 2. HVPS. [Check and Cause] 1. Check the voltage of 24VS. 2. The Hook Lever in the front or rear cover may have defect. [Solution] 1. Let the hook which pushing the SW2 on the right position. 2. Replace the hook lever, if defected. 3. Replace the HVPS. 4. Trouble & Solution (4)

Ⅴ. Troubleshooting Error Vertical Black Line [Description ] There are some vertical black line on the paper when copying using the ADF. [Wrong Part] 1. Glass and transparent sheet. 2. CISM. [Check and Cause] 1. Check whether there are some dust between the transparent sheet and the grass on the platen unit. 2. Do a shading test. [Solution] 1. Make the platen unit clean. 2. Replace the CIS. 4. Trouble & Solution (5)

Ⅵ. Review Ⅰ. Do you have any question for troubleshooting? Ⅱ. Is there anything to request for better service? Review
