3 Insult Sheet Activity 1. Each Person Comes up with a three-columned Shakespearean Insults (That means definitions) a) An online dictionary will work just as well as a book b) Each student will turn in their original insult`, so make sure you write them down (The back of the sheet is fine) 2. As a group (The people sitting around you) choose the best insult. 3. Select a member of the group to come to the front of the room and Insult Mr. Bang 4. I will try to guess the meaning of the insult based off of the words themselves.

6 Character Description Purpose: This list provides all the important information about each character. What To Do: Highlight, circle, and underline any adjectives used to describe the characters. Be aware of the characters’ relationship with other characters. Also, pay attention to any mention of the setting or plot. DO NOT LOSE THIS PACKET.

7 Character Chart Purpose: To build understanding of the characters in the play, and their relationship to one another. What To Do: There are 13 blanks on the character chart. Not every character on the “Who’s Who” will be on the chart. Use the “Who’s Who in Illyria” to match the characters with their descriptions on the chart. No character will be used, twice.

8 Character Illustrations Purpose: By illustrating the characters you build a better understanding of who the characters are. What To Do: Use markers, color pencils, or other coloring utensils to decorate popsicle sticks into miniature puppets (front of the room). Please write the characters name on the front, and your name on the back Create puppets for these 8 characters: 1) Viola, 2) Orsino, 3) Olivia, 4) Malvolio, 5) Feste the Fool, 6) Sir Toby, 7) Sir Andrew, and 8) Maria
