7. Priorities from children and young people Access to outdoor play. All ages of children and young people want to be able to make the most of their natural environment to promote both emotional and physical health and wellbeing. Improving access to opportunities via improved transport and pedestrian access. Building the resilience of young people clearer recognition of bullying, low level depression, stress and more opportunities to have a key trusted adult who could provide support outside the home.

8. Priorities They also want greater opportunities to engage with their community via work experience and volunteering. Space to express themselves through education out of the classroom and wider opportunities for creativity. Increased work on keeping young people safe, stable and within loving families – creating family resilience.

Priorities from children with additional needs Families and siblings are the most important people in their lives and they want to be able to do things together Children enjoy School and like their teachers and support workers, however continuity is key and change can be very confusing and disruptive Children want to take part in the same activities as other children like swimming, cinema etc. but need more things to do at the weekend Providing young people with more information and preparation on transitions to adult services/independent living is very important. Young people feel their voice isn’t always heard or listened to

Single point of contact for parenting advice More info on next steps for children in one place from immunisations to school admissions Low level, practical support can make a big difference.
