Agenda Research Introduction Physical Emotional Circumstantial Questions

Research Introduction Researchers from the outside are conducting a study in Jack’s district and are asking for participation from the families to bring awareness on the high risk of teenage pregnancy and drop out rate in their community. In the following slides researchers will illustrate the steps how the study started, what Physical, Emotional, and Circumstantial obstacles they had encountered trying to conduct the study.

Physical Below are some of the Physical aspects that the researchers had to create to start the study: –Researchers sent out a letter to the families asking for their participation. –A schedule was created indicating the time, place, location, and dates in which the study groups will be conducted. –A flyer was created and posted through out the community –Incentives will also be provided to participants for ex. snacks, drinks, door prizes and one lucky participant will win a grand prize.

Continue Created three awareness programs: –“Preparation Guide lines for New Expecting Mothers” – “Say No to Sex before Marriage Commit to Celibacy” – “Stay in School Reach for the Stars” –Last we will have guest speakers which themselves were faced with teen pregnancy or being dropped out.

Risk The risk that we can foresee is if we do not collect enough data to show that the programs are needed then we are in jeopardy of not getting the funding from our resource in which the community and teens will be without help.

Circumstantial No one side can be the winner. Both the parents and the researchers need to communicate better. However, good communication data can be obtained that will help meet the needs of the pregnant teens, dropout students, families and the community. Both sides becoming one can create great programs. Misunderstanding must be cleared up in order to have successful group. The researchers need to ask better questions and listen to the needs of families so that they feel that they are being heard and understood. They need to make the parents more involved.

Risk The risk that can be associated with the solutions is that the parents and teens both decide that the research study will not justify their needs and will not want to be considered for the programs in which it will leave the pregnant teens at a very high risk of not completing their schooling and becoming a statistics number in society.
