The Water Cycle by:Kellsie,Madi,and Maggie
2
Nickname Another name for The Water Cycle is The Hydrologic Cycle. The Hydrologic Cycle is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again.
3
Evaporation Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes or even oceans and turns into vapor steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the rivers, lakes or oceans and goes into the air. 4
Transportation Transportation happens when plants give off water vapor through tiny little porces in there leaves. This is the plants way of getting rid of waste, just like people and animals sweat when there hot!
5
Condensation Condensation is when water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds. Condensation is when water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds.
6
Precipitation Precipitation Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cant hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow.
7
Collection When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land. When it ends up on land, it will either soak into the earth or become part of the ground water that plants and animals use to drink or it may run soil and collect in the oceans, lakes or rivers where the cycle starts all over again.
