5.  Canals were the fastest way around.  Canals were replaced by railroads because railroads were faster than canals.

6.  When railways, roads, and canals were finally built they enabled industrialists to seek new markets.  This helps industrialists move their makings faster.

7.  The Transportation Revolution was the most common source of pollution in the 1800’s.  The pollution that was produced in the 1800’s during the Transportation Revolution could be the cause of pollution in the world today.
