MULTI-TIERED SYSTEM OF SUPPORT *MTSS is a term used to describe an evidence-based model of schooling that uses data based problem solving to integrate academic and/or behavioral instructional and intervention. *The varying intensity (Multiple Tiers- Tier 1, 2, 3) based on student need. *Response to Intervention (RTI) is the process for implementing the MTSS Framework.

FIRST STEP: “RTI DOCUMENTATION” 1.TEACHER TIER 1 SUPPLEMENTAL STRATEGIES HAVE TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO CPS REFERRAL. 2.CPS REFERRAL IS REQUIRED ONLY WHEN TEACHER TIER 1 STRATEGIES WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL.

FIRST STEP: “RTI DOCUMENTATION” 3. INITIAL MEETING NOTE IS COMPLETED TO HELP PROBLEM SOLVE AND DETERMINE NEXT STEPS. 4. TIER 2/3 ACADEMIC OR BEHAVORIAL RECORD IS NEEDED WHEN THE CPST DETERMINES THE APPROPRIATE INTERVENTION
