1 2014 CalCom Activity Plan based on last year’s work and open discussion: Periodic meetings with detector groups to discuss algorithms, discuss software development and monitor progress Production of Detector Subsystems Geometry and Calibration Constant documents New representatives of the software group (M. Ungaro and G. Gavalian) in the CalCom committee to supervise and guide software development Development/Use of common tools whenever possible to reduce workload for developers Development of calibration software template

2 Calibration Timeline

3 Detector Groups and CalCom Detector groups will be asked to: 1.Submit a Geometry document: -What: Define set of parameters that can be used to build the system geometry in simulation/reconstruction/calibration codes -When: deadline in 3 weeks from now -Next: use information to build geometry tables in DB 2.Submit a Calibration Constants document: -What: define the calibration constants that will be used -When: examples are in preparations (DC, FTOF), request will be sent out in few weeks -Next: use information to build calibration constants table in DB 3.Provide a list of the tasks necessary to perform full calibrations for the specific detector and estimate of the time needed for the development and test of code/algorithm and manpower info if available: -What: for FTOF, for example, PMT gain matching, MIPs peaks alignment, effective velocity, attenuation length, left-right alignment, …, -When: deadline in 3 weeks from now -Next: use info to build the breakdown structure of the calibration timeline, identify tasks that need resources, prioritize tasks 4.Meet with CalCom to present and discuss the detector calibration progresses: - When: CalCom meeting every 2 weeks
