5 1.Using your ruler and pencil, divide the Hubble Deep Field image into 8 equal sections. 2.Count how many objects there are in one section.

6 3. Multiply that number by 8 to estimate how many objects are in the whole picture. 4. It would take 90 million images of the area to cover the entire sky. Multiply your number from step 3 by 90 million to arrive at an estimate of the number of objects in the universe.
