Guitar Gods A guitar god is an influential guitarist’ Electric guitar in music changed the younger generation’s view of life compared to what their parents had taught them about the conformity of the 20s Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton

Guitar Gods In 1924, Lloyd Loar of the Gibson Guitar Company was developing a means to pass the vibrations of the strings through a bridge to a magnet and coil, whereupon they were passed as electrical signals to an amplification device. By 1928 "electric guitars" were officially being marketed and sold to the public. The electric guitar came to life as a result of the Hawaiian guitar.

Guitar Gods One of the most well known guitarists to influence electric guitars was Les Paul. He got the idea for a solid body guitar from learning about a solid body violin made by Thomas Edison, and in 1948, he built the Telecaster. Both Les Paul and Leo Fenders solid body guitars models are copied today by many companies.

Guitar Gods Jimmy Hendrix, known to be one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20 th century. Eric Clapton is an English guitarist and singer/songwriter Jimmy Page, guitarist in Led Zeppelin Buddy Holly was a Texan singer- songwriter and a pioneer of rock and roll.

Guitar Gods JIMI HENDRIX started his first band in 1962 in Clarksville, Tennessee, with a friend, Billy Cox. This band was called The King Kasuals. Tired of the racial segregations of the South, Hendrix moved to Harlem for a better shot at the big time His first taste of the limelight came when he won the top prize at an Apollo theater open mic night in 1964 He formed a band, called The Jimi Hendrix Experience, with British musician friends of Chandler's, and Chandler also managed to get Hendrix on stage with Pete Townsend and Eric Clapton's CreamThe Jimi Hendrix Experience

Guitar Gods Jimi Hendrix He released his first full length album, Are You Experienced, in 1967, in the UK and Europe. The Jimi Hendrix Experience released two more albums, Bold as Love and the landmark Electric Ladyland The last years of Hendrix's life were filled with rotating band members and some memorable performances Jimi Hendrix's career was cut short on September 22, 1970, when Hendrix's body was found in a London hotel.

Guitar Gods The guitar gods genre still exists today. Many people still use the electric guitar in performances. Mostly they are used by rock bands. They are also used for lead guitar and rhythm guitars. They are also used as solo instruments and to accompany singers. This genre influenced current music by setting an example for current rock bands.
