Now, four years later, Japan has confirmed the first case of cancer stemming from that dangerous work. The country's health ministry said Monday that a former Fukushima worker has been diagnosed with leukemia. The unnamed man in his 30s worked at the plant from October 2012 to November 2013. The leukemia was diagnosed after the worker filed a work hazard compensation claim. About 45,000 workers have been involved in cleanup work at the Fukushima plant since August 2011, a disaster that was caused by an earthquake. 3. In Other News Apple has removed hundreds of apps from the iTunes App Store that secretly collected personal information from anyone who downloaded them. Most of the 256 affected apps were made in China, but they were available worldwide on the app store and were downloaded 1 million times. Now breathing on his own, former NBA star Lamar Odom has been taken from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to continue his recovery. Odom was hospitalized last week after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch, a brothel in Nevada.
