1. BUILDING A WEB PAGE BASIC HTML CODING

2. We first open notepad to start to build our web page. We enter the code at the beginning. And then we write below the code. For the title of the page we write. And then we enter the title of our page. For example; if the title of our page is Kemal Kinaci; we write in notepad as follows: Kemal Kinaci The code “ ” is used to close the term for the title.

3. Now we are going to start to build up the page. For each line that we enter, we are going to write and to close each line we are going to use the code. For example; Şampiyon Galatasaray! will print Şampiyon Galatasaray. To center the statement that is entered after is coded, we will write. To close the the “center” statement, we will enter before the code Şampiyon Galatasaray! will print; Şampiyon Galatasaray at the center of the screen.

4. If we want to build a link to a site; we enter and to close the statement we print. For example; if we want to build a link to http://www.students.itu.edu.tr/~kinacio then wehttp://www.students.itu.edu.tr/~kinacio write: Kemal Kinaci’s Web Page And then in the internet explorer the program will print the link referring to the site as; Kemal Kinaci’s Web Page

5. To have an image in the web page, the code must be printed. For instance; Internet Explorer will print the image at the left side.

6. Saving The Work: When we want to save the work we did, we simply should click the “File” button at the top left and then click “Save” command from the upcoming menu. However; we must be careful about adding the tail “.html” at the end to make it suitable for Internet Explorer to open the page. For example; if we are to give the name “Kemal” to the page we will print “Kemal.html” to the text box.
