ACTIVE VOICE Explanation: The Active Voice is the "normal" voice. This is the voice that we use most of the time. You are probably already familiar with the active voice. In the active voice, the object receives the action of the verb: For example: She teaches Arabic to the students. Police Caught the culprit. They were resolving the issue. I have purchased a new computer. The President will address the Parliament

Active & Passive Voice - CAUSATIVES
Explanation: The Passive Voice is less usual. In passive voice Object takes the place of Subject, and the subject receives the action of the verb: For example: Students are taught Arabic by her. Culprit was caught by the police. The issue was being resolved by them. A new computer has been purchased by me. The Parliament will be addressed by the President. Grammar Point: Passive sentences with by We are normally not interested in the "doer" of an action in a passive sentence. When we want to mention the "doer", we use the preposition by. The whole phrase is called by-agent in English.
